Rep. n° 22/2025
Starý Klíž, November 16, 2025. Since ancient times, people have adorned themselves with visible signs not only of success and power, but also with badges of merit. The principle of decorations, as visible objects intended for wearing, has remained unchanged in their spiritual and symbolic meaning. Only the level of culture and the perception of values worthy of attention have changed. Visible symbols have become a psychological part of life and accompany humanity at every step. And so, with the development of time and practical need, visible symbols have emerged in various corners of the world, expressing gratitude for loyalty, bravery or other merit by which an individual surpassed his surroundings.
The Servare et Manere Association notes such personalities but also institutions mainly abroad. However, from time to time, an exceptional personality worthy of appreciation appears in Slovakia. In Starý Klíž, in the heart of western Slovakia, an exceptional cultural complex has been created in a place where no one would expect it. Its creator, maintainer and enhancer is Mr. Gabriel Rehák, a philanthropist and bearer of cultural values. For his extraordinary and exceptional merits, he was awarded the Memorial Medal of Tree of Peace in a Special class with rubies.
During the gala evening, the exceptionally talented Czech pianist Nora Lubbadová performed, and the Slovak actress Ida Rapaičová also made the event special with her performance.
