New York/Žilina, July/October 2023. A big success for Servare et Manere! This summer, the Tree of Peace initiative was included as a project of non-governmental organizations in the official second voluntary national review of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at the 2023 High Level Political Forum organized by the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). We are proud to share a page dedicated to our Tree of Peace initiative, which joins together two important issues of our time, the first being peace and the second the climate crisis. The entire 141-page document containing the main messages from the national voluntary assessment of Slovakia until 2023 was translated into all official UN languages. The document was prepared by the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with a wide range of stakeholders, including the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and Servaare et Manere The document on behalf of the Slovak Republic was presented to the President of ECOSOC by the Permanent Mission of Slovakia to the United Nations in New York. Servare et Manere is the only Slovak organization with official consultative status within the UN Economic and Social Council.
