Rep. n° 08/2026
Dvorac Petrovica Kruševac in Podgorica, July 27, 2026. Another Tree of Peace will grow in Montenegro! Servare et Manere has established a collaboration with the Royal House of Petrović-Njegoš, which once ruled Montenegro from 1696 to 1766 and again from 1782 to 1918.

Servare et Manere, together with the Foundation Petrović Njegoš, will plant a memorial tree in the garden of the Royal Palace in Podgorica, also known as Kruševac Palace. The Foundation has implemented 209 projects with more than 50 partners and investments exceeding €1 million in the past 10 years. The Foundation’s motto is “Small is beautiful”.
The meeting at the Kruševac Palace took place in a very friendly and cordial atmosphere. Marek Sobola and His Royal Highness Nikola II, Prince of Montenegro, discussed the activities of the Tree of Peace project, as well as visions for the future. They agreed together on several key details. Since Nikola II, Prince of Montenegro is a French architect, the discussion also touched on professional topics. Marek Sobola presented the Prince not only with a book from the Kysuce Museum’s portfolio entitled “Drotárstvo. Veľká kniha o slovenskom drotárstve – The wire craft and art. The big book of the Slovak wire craft”, but also with an original hand-made rose made of wire from the workshop of tinker Ms Ľubica Kullová from Čadca. The Prince donated a publication about the rich and beautiful nature of Montenegro to Servare et Manere.
