Slovak and Czech Ambassador at the Tree of Peace in Brookwood

Brookwood, May 2021. Slovak Ambassador to London Mr. Róbert Ondrejcsák and Czech Ambassador to London Mr. Libor Sečka together with Slovak Defense Attaché Colonel Vladimír Stolárik met at the Tree of Peace in Brookwood. This important Tree was planted on December 4, 2019 by the President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová together with the then Ambassador of Slovakia to London Mr. Ľubomír Rehák and Marek Sobola, the author of the Tree of Peace International Project.

The commemorative Lime tree in the ‘Greenspire’ variety (Tilia cordata ‘Greenspire’) symbolizes the memory and remembrance of all unknown soldiers who died in global war conflicts. It also symbolizes the Slovak origin of the project. To date Trees of Peace have been planted in Uzbekistan, Liechtenstein, Slovakia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Serbia, the United States, Russia, Poland and Austria.
